VoxBox 1

Welcome VoxBox... I LOVE YOU

VOXBOX... I'm loving it!  So if you don't know what a VoxBox is you can go to Influenster to learn more...

So here is what came in my mailbox today...  Puffs Ultra Soft & Strong To Go Tissue Pack (which went directly in my purse!), NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow, Rimmel London NEW Show Off Lip Lacquer, Skiny Cow Candy (Peanut Butter), and Duckling's Mini Roll (duck tape).  It was like a little taste of Christmas going to fetch my mail today.   I was so excited and of course I tried EVERYTHING... well either I did or my daughter...

I already told you about the Puffs making their way to my purse.  Totally coming in  handy for days like today when I have the sniffles.  It is COLD out there!  Puffs single packs are perfect for the NE in Winter for sure!  Soft and ready available.  Gotta Love IT!

Now  the NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eye Shadow.  It was three very neutral colors- more of a champagne, mauve, and cream color.  It was called LONG BEACH SANDS...  They were more pearlized than I prefer to wear and I thought they were not quite as bendable as I would like.  I do like the ease of the case, however the applicator left me wanting a brush.  Perhaps changing it to a sponge on one side and a brush on the other might be a better move.  I guess it doesn't really matter, as my eleven year old took that little gem to add to her own make up stash.  Nice little $3 addition to an 11 year old's make up routine.

Ok so the next little gift I just LOVE!  Rimmel London NEW Show Off Lip Lacquer arrived in a nifty tube with a wand applicator.  This applicator has the usual sponge tip but it is angled and smooth to make sure the finish is clean and smooth.  The color was very faint and does not stand out too much at all.  I love it for a casual bit of color.... called STARGAZER.  I will most definitely be adding this to my makeup routine.  It's amazing! Highly suggest using it!

Now, this is one that I don't quite know how I feel about it.  Do I like it?  Do I not?  I will let you know now I am not one for candy, nor do I have a serious sweet tooth.  So Skiny Coaw Candy (Peanut Butter) isn't exactly something I would go out of my way to pick up at the store.  I can see if you were seriously craving chocolate or something sweet this would be awesome since it is only 130 Calories for three large pieces of  chocolate covered creamy smooth peanut butter.   I think my kids will like this more than I will, I had a piece but it was a little too smooth and creamy for my taste... and a bit salty.  But my daughter thought it was a nice little treat and I know my husband will be thrilled that they are wrapped according to serving size so can't eat too many, as he loves chocolate and peanut butter!   They are a nice little sweet  for now but I don't know  if I will be making a Skinny Cow purchase in the future.

Now the   Duckling's Mini Roll is a happy find for my daughter.  She uses that stuff for crafts and to decorate her locker at school.   This roll showed up in a hot pink and black zebra print that had her utterly giddy.  This one won't last long at all!  She jumped right onto a craft with it as soon as she saw it...

I am so excited to have been selected to receive a VoxBox!  We gals are looking forward to using all of our fun items.... Something for everyone in this house!

Using e.l.f.

I recently posted my favorite e.l.f. cosmetics... I use e.l.f. products everyday!  I absolutely LOVE THEM!  I feel I can get the same dramatic effect as more expensive brands while saving a bundle doing it.  The makeup goes on flawlessly and with the wide variety of tools and makeup the application process is a breeze.

I recently came across a fabulous website (www.maskcara.com) that shows an easy way to contour your makeup to add definition and drama.  I used only my e.l.f. cosmetics to create this new look.  It did add time to my daily routine, but not too much, and I am thrilled with the results.

Here I am BARE FACED (no makeup and nothing done at ALL! - don't be afraid)

And here I am after following the tutorial  in all my done up glory... You can see for yourself how well e.l.f cosmetics match up in terms of coverage and blendability...
